At CREAT3D Ltd your privacy is of the utmost importance to us when visiting our website and app or communicating electronically with us. Therefore, we have created our privacy policy, so that we may always be open with you and communicate how your data is used when you use our website and app.

What information do we collect?

We collect, store and process the following information about you:

  • Addresses (Billing and Delivery)
  • Phone numbers

  • STL files

There are various ways that we may collect your data from you, for example:

  • You created a customer account on our LayerParts website or app.
  • You submitted an order on our LayerParts website or app.
  • You subscribed to a LayerParts service either via our website or app.
  • You enquired about LayerParts and our services or requested further information.
  • You responded to an advertising or marketing activity we completed.
  • You provided us with your details when we met at an event, workshop, presentation, seminar, webinar or training session.
  • You signed up to request our LayerParts newsletter to keep you informed on our products, services and Additive Manufacturing related news.

We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys and provide feedback. Website and app usage information is collected using cookies.

What do we do with your data?

We collect, store and process your data so that we can provide you with the best possible experience and service from CREAT3D.  The data we hold about you, helps us to provide personalised content where we can recommend the best products and services suited to your needs.

We also require your data:

  • For contractual obligations, for example, to fulfil an order and provide customer service.
  • For legal compliance, for example, relating to payments or fraud prevention.
  • For legitimate interest for commercial purposes, for example, providing relevant content and information as part of running our business.

For business-to-business communications, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR, we will continue to send relevant content via marketing messages, but you will always have the option to unsubscribe should you no longer wish to receive such communications.

Who might have access to your data?

On occasion, we may need to provide data to trusted third-party suppliers. This may be for contractual obligations or legitimate purposes. When providing data to such suppliers, we only provide them with the information required to perform their specific services.

  • IT companies who support our business systems, website and app.
  • Infrastructure platform provider AWS.

Data may also be provided to Government Bodies or Law Enforcement Agencies when requested, under legal requirements.

We won’t release your data to any third parties outside of our company for mailing or marketing purposes.

How do we protect your data?

Data security matters and so we ensure that when we collect, store and use your data, there are safeguards in place. We secure our platform with HTTPS and two-factor password authentication to customer accounts, and sensitive data is secured and tokenised for protection.

We may transfer data that we collect from you to locations outside of the UK for processing and storing. This could include staff operating outside of the UK who work for us or are employed by one of our trusted suppliers. For example, such staff may be engaged in processing your payment details and providing support services.

How long will your data be held?

Where we collect or store your data, we will keep it for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and where we have a legitimate interest. When you use LayerParts, we will store your data for 10 years after the last sale.

Your data will be completely deleted or anonymised at the end of the retention period. Anonymisation will be for the purpose of statistical analysis, and anonymous data will be aggregated.

What are your rights?

You have the right to:

  • Request and obtain access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • To correct your personal data when incorrect, incomplete or out of date.
  • To withdraw consent for processing your personal data (where not under legal compliance).
  • To request your data be erased or to restrict processing (where the right applies).
  • To request data portability (when applied to the performance of a contract or lawful basis for processing this information is consent, by automated means).
  • To object to processing based on legitimate interests, direct marketing and processing for scientific/historical research and statistics.

If you feel that your data has not been handled correctly, please contact our Data Controller as we want to make things right. What if I don't provide my information?

If you do not provide us with your data it will be very difficult for us to provide you with the best CREAT3D experience. As LayerParts is a manufacturing platform, you will be unable to use the service if you do not supply your data.
